Our second speaker - Mackenzie Logan was granted a Junior Presenter Award of the Conference with his presentation: Value of Construction Quality Assurance Geomembrane Liner Systems: A Summary of Observations Associated with Dewatering a Recently Constructed Liquor Pond.
Tony Tong Kwan Shen
Tony Tong Kwan Shen is a seasoned technical engineer with over 8 years of specialized experience in Geotechnical and Geosynthetics Engineering. Throughout his career, Tony has provided expert technical assistance across the APAC region, contributed to product development, and played a key role in technical marketing for Solmax Geosynthetics Asia.
Tony's expertise encompasses a wide range of design applications, including basal reinforcement, reinforced soil structures, prefabricated vertical drains, and subgrade stabilization. He has authored a paper for Geocase, showcasing a case study on a reinforced soil wall using segmental blocks and geosynthetics. Additionally, Tony has presented his work at prestigious conferences and workshops, such as the IGS TC-R and TC-H technical workshop in Barcelona and the GeoANZ#2 conference in Melbourne
Mackenzie Logan
Mackenzie Logan is a Geo-Environmental Engineer at WSP Australia, with 5 years of experience in a mix of construction and consulting. After completing his studies in New Zealand, he has worked on a variety of projects focused on construction quality assurance for barrier systems, including landfills, liquor and evaporation ponds, and drinking water reservoirs. Mackenzie is committed to ongoing learning and leveraging his experience to improve the quality and buildability of future designs.
